He ran out of architrave

I was asked to help out with the decorating of a loft conversion. Apparently the owner was very particular on the finish which is great as so am I. I then looked at the architrave the builders had fitted and to my astonishment rather than going back to the builders merchants and simply buying more architrave the off cuts had been used from half way down on the vertical trim all the way to the flooring. One piece maybe he could have got away with but there were 11 pieces! Either order the right amount to begin with, an extra length incase of a mistake or go and buy another piece rather than shame yourself. This kind of bodge is not acceptable!
