Not how you fit engineered flooring!

There’s a reason why you have to leave at the very minimum a 10mm gap all the way around the room when installing an engineered floating floor, sometimes it states up to 15mm. Even a piece of masonry sticking further out than every other bit of wall will cause the expanding floor to hit that piece first and up she goes right in the centre of the room. I’ve seen this on a new extension and the poor woman’s flooring was at least 50mm higher in one area than the rest of it and the genius builders were across the road working at the house opposite and had refused to come back and sort out this major issue.
